COLLETT, ROBERT C., 81, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at his home. He was born on the Pointe to the late, Howard and Lillian E. Gahafer Collett. He was the owner of Bob Collett Auto-Wrecker Co., and worked on the Pointe all of his life. He introduced the Amphicar to Louisville in 1963. He was an avid car and gun collector. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Collett; his daughter, Donna Cornish; grandson, Trevor Cornish; and his sister, Helen Welch. He is survived by his children, Darlene Langford (John), Chuck Collett (Suzanne), Garry Collett (Chris Ann), Larry Collett (Roseann) and Becky McBride (Pat); his 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his nephew; James Welch Jr. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave., with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation: 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Expressions are requested to Hospice of Louisville, or the Palliative Care at Baptist Hospital East.
