Robert B. Eaton Scotia Robert Bob Eaton, 94, passed away on February 1, 2015. He spent most of his life in Schenectady and Scotia-Glenville, New York. He was predeceased by his wife of many years, Patricia Thornton Eaton; a brother, John Eaton; and a sister, Margaret Clapper. Robert was a veteran of WWII and served three years on the Signal Corp stationed in New Guinea. He worked for a time at the G.E. before becoming a car salesman for a number of Schenectady dealerships. He attended Glenville Community Church for many years. Robert is survived by a sister, Rita Allen, residing with her daughter in Albany; as well as his sister, Sarah Scott of Texas; a daughter, Alice Eaton Palmer; son-in-law, Hollis Palmer; a beloved grandson, Scott Eaton Palmer, married to Diana Layous Palmer; and a great-granddaughter, Sadie Palmer; as well as nieces and nephews. Robert was a kind, gentleman of deep quiet faith who could always be counted on. I feel privileged to call him Dad. The funeral will be private at the discretion of the family.
