Robert Alan Underwood, born Sept. 27, 1978, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Robert was a resident of Metairie, La., and a longtime resident of D'Iberville, Miss. Robert passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the youthful age of 29. Robert always lived life to the fullest, and his contagious smile will be missed by many. He always had a knack for making people laugh. He was the true comedian of our family. He was an avid sports fan and a loving son, brother and uncle. He was known to many as a great cook, as cooking was his passion. We pray that he knew how grateful our family was of the deep love we shared. He will be truly missed and never forgotten. Robert was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harvery L. Underwood of Gainesville. He is survived by his loving mother and father, Maria D. and Tommy L. Underwood of D'Iberville, Miss.; three brothers, Tommy S. Underwood of D'Iberville, Miss., Aaron S. Underwood of Metairie, La., and Michael L. Underwood (sister-in-law Nicole) of Bath, Maine; grandparents, Annie S. Roberts of Gainesville and Miguel and Magdalena Haro of Vernon, Texas; three aunts and uncles, Martha and Tom Nguyen of Gainesville, Janie and Stephen Martini Sr. of Elgin, Okla., and Carmen and Charles Bradford of Shreveport, La.; a loving niece and nephew, Savannah L. and Dawson S. Underwood of D'Iberville, Miss.; and several cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Thursday, June 19, 2008, at 11 a.m. Both will be at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
