Robert A. Waldron 1931 - 2012 WESTFIELD - Robert A. Waldron, 80, of Westfield, died Monday, April 16, 2012 in Noble Hospital. He was born on August 24, 1931 in Hartford, CT, son of the late William and Evelyn (Tullar) Waldron. Robert was employed as a lineman for North East Utilities for thirty-nine years, retiring in 1992. He attended St. Mary's Church and was a member of the Blessed Sacrament pitch league. Robert was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling. He was a Korean War Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #80 in Enfield, CT. He leaves his wife, Lenora Lemire Waldron of Westfield and a brother, William Waldron and his wife Barbara of Chelmsford, MA. Robert also leaves his children, Lynda Waldron of Vernon, CT, Annette Lemire of Phoenix, AZ, Janet Lemire and wife Autumn Willison of Portland, ME, Loreen Waldron of East Hartford, CT., his grandchildren, Melanie Bisson and her husband Aaron, Robert Waldron, Jeffrey Armstrong and his wife Audrey, and Kaitlyn and Christopher Fenner and a great grandson Jacen Armstrong. He was predeceased by a son Robert Waldron Jr. who died on April 9, 2006. The funeral will be Friday, April 20, 2012 at 9:30 AM from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Church, 30 Bartlett St., Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Westfield. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:30-7:30 PM at the funeral home.
