->CARIBOU - Rita T. LaChance, 85, died April 16, 2015, at her Caribou residence. She was born in Fort Fairfield, March 1, 1930, the daughter of the late James and Matilda (Labrie) Cyr. She was a 1949 graduate of Caribou High School and on October 31, 1953, she married Samuel LaChance Sr. Mrs. LaChance was a longtime faithful member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband of over 61 years, Samuel of Caribou, are her son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Kathleen LaChance Jr. of Presque Isle; her brother and sister-in-law, James and Sylvia Cyr of Bangor; one grandson, Kemuel LaChance of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. LaChance was predeceased by a grandson, Tristan. Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, 6-8 pm Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Monday, April 20, 2015, from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
