Rita Joyce Smith 1954 - 2013 ARLINGTON Rita Joyce Smith, 58, a resident of Old West Road, died Thursday, July 4 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.She was born in Steubenville, Ohio, on Sept. 8, 1954, and was the daughter of the late Dorothy J. Lyons, and Warren W. Lyons of Confluence, Pa., who survives. She received her education in schools in Pennsylvania.In earlier years, she had been a nursing assistant and, more recently, Rita had been a homemeker.Rita enjoyed gardening, flowers, animals, especially her dog, "Charlie." Rita enjoyed hunting season to the extent that she always enjoyed a full house of people.
