WEST MILFORD — Services were held for Rita Smith, 89, of this township, who died on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Born in Sterling Forest, N.Y., Mrs. Smith lived in Wanaque before moving to West Milford 19 years ago. Services were Friday at the Richards Funeral Home, West Milford, followed by interment at Midvale Cemetery, Wanaque. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Sharon Fischer; her brother, Harrison McCloud; her sisters, Beatrice Hardy, Ella Mitchell, Eva Peipmeyer, and Stella Parkens; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick Swin; her second husband, Ira Smith; her son, Roy; and her parents, Alexander and Betha McCloud.
