Rita Smith April 30,1936 - June 28, 2016. Rita was born in Belfast, Ireland in 1936 and moved to Canada in 1957. She is survived by her children Gary (Joanne) and Cindie (Robin) her grand children Abbie, Taryn and Paul (Tana) and her great grandchildren, Miles and Isaac all who brought great joy to her. She was very proud of her work in the special education system and all the staff, children and families she worked with. Rita was kind and generous, always smiling and enjoying a good laugh. She enjoyed good food, entertaining and socializing with her many friends. Rita will be missed by all who knew her and especially those friends she always thought of as family. At her request, there will be no sevices or memorial.
