Rita Smith April 30, 1936 - June 28, 2016. Rita was born in Belfast, Ireland in 1936 and moved to Canada in 1957. She is survived by her children Gary (Joanne) and Cindie (Robin) her grandchildren Abbie, Taryn and Paul (Tana) and her great grandchildren Miles and Isaac all who brought great joy to her life. She was very proud of her work in the Special Education system and all the staff, children and families she worked with. Rita was kind and generous, always smiling and enjoying a good laugh. She enjoyed good food, entertaining and especially socializing with her friends. Rita will be missed by all her knew her and especially her family and her friends who she thought of as her family. At her request, there will be no services or memorial.
