EAST ANDOVER - Rita M. (Gadue) Smith, 82, of Currier Road, East Andover died Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Rita was born September 14, 1930 in Winooski, Vt. to Arthur and Mary (Packard) Gadue. She grew up there and moved to Franklin in 1960, where she lived most of her life before moving to East Andover in 2002.Family and friends were very important to her and she loved her pets. She enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. She was well known for her yard sales.Rita was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Clinton D. Smith, Sr., September 24, 2012; a daughter Debbie Smith; a son Arthur "Skip" Smith; and a brother, Arthur Gadue, Jr.She is survived by: her children and their spouses or significant others: Linda and Sonny Pero, Missouri, Clinton "Butch" Smith, Jr. and Kathy Poehler, Lochmere, David Smith and Sharon Lewis, Bristol, Doug and Roberta Smith, Bristol, Sandra and David Lavalley, Concord, Roxanne Danforth and Lawrence Deane, Northfield, Edward and Sheri Smith, Franklin, Lisa and Dana Pearl, Belmont, Kim Smith and Brian "Turk" McDonald, Franklin, Sharon and Ernie Wilkins, New Hampton; 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Duane Bailey, CRVNA Hospice Chaplain officiating.
