JOHNSON, RITA FAY (DOBBS) (HICKS), 52, entered Eternal Glory Friday, March 5, 2010 at St's Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, after a series of illnesses over many years. Rita was born in Louisville to John C. & Katherine (Webster) Dobbs. She was preceded in death by her father; and a nephew, Jacob Dobbs. Rita was a senior piping designer for C & I Engineering and a member of Kosmosdale Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Russell E. Johnson Sr.; her children, Lindsey Manning (Adam) and Travis Hicks; stepchildren, Cassie Bishop (Scott), Russell E. Johnson Jr. (Cheryl), David Johnson (Beth), Steve Johnson (Trina); her mother: Katherine (Dobbs) Potter (Ed); brother, Michael Dobbs (Jo Leigh); sisters, Peggy Campbell (Bill), Donna Kremer, Rachel Lynch; grandchildren, Lori, Russell III, Emily, Chris, Samantha and Moira Johnson; nephews and nieces, Todd Campbell (Amy), Beth Fortner (John), Jamie Stumbo (Brandon), Daniel Kremer, Ashley Jackson (Kenny), Leigh and John Dobbs; great-nieces and great-nephews; and her faithful companion, Steeler. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
