WATERVILLE - Rita F. (Gaudreau) Lagasse, 64, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, surrounded by loving family at a Bangor hospital. Rita was born March 15, 1945, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Alphie and Irene (Thibeault) Gaudreau. Rita will be sadly missed by her four children, Michele Lane of Belgrade, Melissa McLellan and husband, Robert, of Sidney, Pamela Pelletier and husband, Ben, of Fort Kent and Scott Lagasse and wife, Whitney, of Waco, Texas; and her six grandchildren, Amber Lagasse, Ryan and Sierra McLellan, Kaitlin Lagasse, Brendon Peace and Brighton Lagasse. Rita is survived by four sisters, Margaret Pelletier of Fort Kent, Rose Martin and husband, Robert, of Bristol, Conn., Marie Daigle of Hudson, Fla., and Noella Daigle of Fort Kent; two brothers, Gerald Gaudreau and wife, Nicole, of Bristol, Conn., and Michael Gaudreau and wife, Diane, of Fort Kent; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and three sisters, Alphena Pelletier, Anita Bosse and Martha Dubois. Rita enjoyed reading, eating out with friends, mastering the daily crossword puzzle, and spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Suzie. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 18 at Notre Dame Church, Silver Street, Waterville.
