MANCHESTER - Rita D. Caron, 94, of Manchester, died Jan. 23, 2013, after a period of failing health. Born in Manchester, on Sept. 18, 1918, she was the daughter of Eusebie and Antonia (Fortier) Poulin. She was a lifelong resident of the Queen City. For 50 years, she and her husband owned and operated Caron's Lunch. She was a communicant of St. Anthony Church and faithfully attended the Monastery of the Precious Blood. Mrs. Caron will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose family was the center of her life. She was married to Edward H. Caron. He died Nov. 19, 1971. Family members include five sons, Thomas E. Caron of Manchester, Roland J. Caron of New Boston, Edward F. Caron of Hudson, William J. Caron of Bedford and Daniel G. Caron of New Boston; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet Pelissier of Goffstown; several nieces and nephews. . SERVICES: Following cremation, a memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Belmont Street, Manchester. Urn burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Monastery of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, 03104. The Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union St., Manchester, is in charge of the arrangements.
