CASEY - Rita (nee Von Wedelstedt) on Monday September 5, 2005 at home with her family at her side. Born May 28, 1934 in Fuerstenwalde, Germany to Elisabeth Kaiser and Walter Von Wedelstedt. The family later moved to Berlin. Rita left Berlin on December 6, 1953 arriving by boat into the Hudson Harbor on New Years Eve 1953. On April 28, 1956 Rita married Vincent Casey at St. Francis DeSales R.C. Church of New York City. In the late 1950's they moved to Palisades Park where they resided for more than 30 years. Mrs. Casey is survived by her three children Brian Casey and his wife Kathy, Caroline Casey and her husband Thomas Frawley, and James Casey and his wife Christine. She leaves behind her grandchildren that she so adored Jennifer, Shannon, Ryan, Sean, Catherine, Lauren, Victoria, Conor and Aidan. Rita is also survived by her beloved brother Gunthard Von Wedelstedt and his wife Doris, and her nephew Dirk Von Wedelstedt, his wife Kirsten and their children Marie and Max. The family will receive their friends on Thursday 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library." The funeral will leave Friday at 9 AM for the celebration of her funeral mass in St. Michael's R.C. Church at 9:30 AM.
