Richard Hord, age 69, of Ozark, passed away Friday, March 28, 2008. He was born August 8, 1938, the son of Ameal Carl and Clara Belle (Adamson) Hord. On October 14, 1961, he and Judy Jones were united in marriage. Richard was a journeyman mechanic for Paul Mueller. In his spare time he worked on lawnmowers and tractors, and built trailers. He and Judy spent every weekend enjoying the lake. Survivors include his wife, Judy; two sons, Gary Dean Hord and Sheila, Nixa, and Karl Hord and wife, Marlene, Springfield; a daughter, Debbie Saunders and husband, Larry, Republic; grandchildren, Dallas, Dalton and Dylan Hord, Chris, Richie and Crystal Saunders, Madison Wendt and Hunter Clark; four brothers and sisters, Redgie Hord, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Wanda Hathcock and husband, Trellis, Strafford, Mo., Claud Hord and wife, Bonnie, Sparta and Pat Butts and husband, Pete, Billings; his mother-in-law, Rosie Jones, Ozark; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and JoAnne Jones, Ozark; nieces and nephews; his Paul Mueller family; and his many lake friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Becky; infant twin daughters; and an infant son. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Noble Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ozark Veterinary Clinic, in care of Dr. Linn.
