BENNINGTON -- Funeral services for Richard Henry Curtis were held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, March 24, 2007, with the Rev. Deborah Estey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Bennington officiating.Two of Mr. Curtis’s favorite musical selections were offered during the service, “The Tennessee Waltz” and “The Blackboard to My Heart.” Words of remembrance were offered by a grandson Zachary Bentley.Serving as pall bearers were Duane Bentley Jr., Donald Rivers Jr., Travis Bentley, Ricky King, Eddie King and Norman Allen Jr.The burial took place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Estey offering the committal prayers. Mr. Richard Henry Curtis, 81, a resident of North Branch Street, Bennington, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in Bennington.Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
