RICHARD HARRINGTON SATELLITE BEACH Richard L. Harrington, 78, a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great- grandfather and respected friend, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, the long result of a series of strokes. True to his sterling character, he was calm, courageous and strong till the very end. Harrington was born in Akron, Ohio in 1927, and came to Brevard County in 1977. A Navy avia tor, the passion of his life was flying. He began his Navy career as a Midship man, and retired as a Com mander after 23 years of service. His favorite plane was the Corsair F4-UR. He also loved sailing, traveling and his family. He was a member of the AZAN Shrine Temple, Scot tish Rite, Blue Lodge of West erville, Ohio, Patrick Yacht Club and he was a member of the Quiet Bird Man. Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgia; a son, Frederick Skip Scott; two daughters, Nancy Lee Harrington and Cynthia K. Hawk; a brother, Bruce of Jacksonville; a sister, Mary land Thomas of Ohio; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services to include a 21-gun military salute will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb ruary 5th, with visitation one hour prior at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please adress donations to the Park inson Disease Association, 116 John Street, New York, NY 10038.
