HARRINGTON, Richard "Brodie" Suddenly on Sunday, April 2, 2006, in his 53rd year. Beloved husband of Patti Shane. Dear father of Jordan and loving second father of Shannon. Son of Margaret Harrington and the late David Harrington and brother of Brenda Harrington both of Vancouver BC. Brodie will also be greatly missed by his mother-in-law Anna Shane, sisters-in-law Maureen Dufresne (Ted), Kathy Fraser (Gerry) and brother-in-law Michael Shane (Lynn). Known to most as Brodie, he was an amazing man, husband and father, a devoted public servant and an enthusiastic skier. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Friends, family and colleagues may pay their respects at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes , 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Ave. on Friday at 11 a.m. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a Women's Shelter.
