SIMPSON, RICHARD FREDERICK "CATFISH", 50 Gainesville - Richard Frederick "Catfish" Simpson passed away unexpectedly at his home in Gainesville, FL on Friday March 2, 2007 at the age of 50. He was born in Jacksonville, FL On March 30, 1956 and graduated from Englewood High School in Jacksonville. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. then worked as a commercial fisherman and later as a Seafood Manager for Winn Dixie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Clyde and Julia Mae Simpson, and his brother, Joseph Gary Simpson. He is survived by his wife Carole Robinson Simpson of Gainesville, and his daughters, Tammi Simpson and Heather Simpson, two grandchildren, two step daughters, and five step grandchildren, sisters, Romona (John) Mastin and Patty (Wesley) Phillips, brothers, Raymond Clyde (Nancy) Simpson and Charles Clifford Simpson, both of California. Funeral services will be held Thursday March 8, 2007 at 2:00PM at Milam Funeral Home 311 S. Main Street Gainesville, Fl. 32601 (352) 376-5361, with military honors.
