RICHARD EUGENE WHEELER Richard Eugene Wheeler, age 82, died on November 4, 2009 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, MA. He was the devoted husband of Mary J. (Ignico) Wheeler of Plymouth. Born in Lexington, MA on February 9, 1927, he was the beloved son of the late Arthur and Christine (Hanson) Wheeler. He was educated in the Lexington School System. For most of his life, Mr. Wheeler had worked as a cook. He worked for over 20 years as a manager for the Harley's Diner in Lee, NH, and for 10 years was the proprietor. He moved to Plymouth in September, previously residing in Vero Beach, FL for over 15 years. He was an avid golfer. Upon his retirement and moving to Vero Beach, he worked at John's Island and at Bald Peak Old Colony Country Club in NH. Besides leaving his wife, Mary J. (Ignico) Wheeler, he is survived by a son; Richard E. "Dick" Wheeler and his wife Patty of Plymouth, MA, a daughter; Robin Boulanger and her husband John of Milton, NH, two brothers; Wesley Wheeler of Sanford, ME and Harold Wheeler of Burlington, MA, three sisters; Marjorie Stiles of Center Strafford, NH, Phyllis Griffen of Rochester, NH, and Barbara Potter of N. Chelmsford, MA. He was also the cherished grandfather of Meaghan Wheeler, Andrea and Kate Boulanger. Funeral Services will be private.
