Richard E. McDonald of Quincy, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on April 12, 2015. The beloved husband of 46 years to Donna E. (Brown) McDonald of Quincy, he was the loving father of Daniel McDonald and his wife Karen of Braintree, Joseph McDonald and his wife Kristin of Weymouth, Michael McDonald and his wife Sarah of Milton and Kate McDonagh and her husband James of Braintree; son of the late Edgar H. and C. Helen (Landry) McDonald; brother of Charlotte Halloran and her husband John of West Roxbury and Michael McDonald and his wife Margaret of Braintree. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Richard was a senior trader at Putnam Investments for 29 years, an honorary member of the Boston Securities Traders Association, a former trustee of Cotting School as well as one of the original organizers of the BSTA Cotting School Christmas Party which continues to this day. Richard was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann Parish in Wollaston and a member of the Mens Prayer Group. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 9:45, prior to the funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, Wollaston, at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
