Richard Earl Davis, 68, of 724 Lusk Road, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at his residence.Born in Cabott, Ark., he was the son of Lucy Prince Davis and the late Earl Davis. He was a retired Truck driver, an Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith.Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Edna Davis; a daughter, Sharon "Sherry" Madray of Greensboro, N.C.; a son, Richard Allen Davis of Liberty; a brother, Donald Davis of Melrose, Fla.; a sister, Dorothy Mobley of Brandon, Fla.; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Davis.Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, with the Rev. Steve Madray officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Dillard Funeral Home. The family is at the home of his son, Richard Davis, 781 Liberty Highway, Liberty.Dillard Funeral Home is assisting the family of Mr. Davis.
