KNAPP, Richard David, "Papa," 81, of Spring Hill, Fla., passed away July 8, 2008. He was born in Greene, Ohio, and spent his early life in Geneva, Ohio, and the past 48 years in Florida. He was proud to have served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division in World War II. Richard was the retired owner/operator of Masonry Movers Inc., which served the state of Florida for more than 40 years. He had many life achievements, including stock car racing, motorcycling, parachute jumping, and flying multi-engine aircraft and helicopters, and took a very active part in the industry of his life' s vocation, relocating houses and buildings. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Alice Knapp; his children, grandchildren; great-grand-children; one sister; and his nephews and nieces. Richard was a loving husband, a caring father, grandfather and brother, and a loyal friend, who gave generously to others. He will be missed by many. His family will have a celebration of his life at a later time. His final resting place will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
