Richard Ayers, 76, of Palestine, TX, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in the David E. Foster Hospice Unit/PRMC. He was born July 31, 1936, in Hot Springs, Virginia, to Carl Bonner Ayers and Carrie Rodgers Ayers. He was a twenty-one year Navyretiree and Vietnam vet.Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia June Ayers. He is survived by brother, Wilson Ayers; sister, Wanda (Earl) Bostic; three children, Dawn (Juan) Reyes, Carl (Melissa) Ayers and Crystal (Kevin) Sanders; eight grandchildren, Mandy (Rick) Bedard, Randall (Becky) Ayers, Brian (Channing) Ayers, Austin (Dacia) Sanders, Chelsea Sanders, Shelby Sanders, Casey Sanders and Marissa Sanders; three great-grandchildren, Brody and Kaylee Bedard and Wyatt Ayers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
