Reverend Charles E. Hames JONESVILLE, SC-- Reverend Charles E. Hames, 84, of 309 Franklin Street, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at his home. Rev. Hames was the husband of Mrs. Claree Porter Hames. He was the son of the late Mr. Charles Hames and Mrs. Hattie Mae Hames. He was a native of Union County. Rev. Hames was the former Pastor of the Montgomery Chapel Baptist Church, Pacolet, SC and the Good Hope Baptist Church, Waterloo, SC. He was a member of the Foster's Chapel Baptist Church, Jonesville, SC. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Survivors include four sons, Warren (Willie Mae) Thomas, Larry Edwards, Curtis (Magaline) Hames and Terry Hames; two daughters, Mae Charles H. Byars and Edna R. Hames; and a host of grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. A son, Nathaniel Hames, preceded him to Heaven. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at 2:00 PM at The Foster's Chapel Baptist Church, Jonesville, SC. Rev. W. E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 1:00 PM at The M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends at the home. J. W. Woodward Funeral Home
