Casey, Sr. She was the youngest of five surviving children. They all preceded her in death; Rev. Joseph Casey, Rev. Martin J. Casey, SJ, Mr. John T Casey, Jr., and Mr. Paul Casey. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Judith Casey; one nephew, John Casey; and two nieces, Kathleen and Elizabeth. She attended Catholic grammar school and was an alumni of West Philadelphia Catholic High School. She entered The Carmelite Monastery in Mobile, AL in 1946. She served as Prioress from 2000-2011. The funeral Mass will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 11 AM at the Carmelite Monastery Chapel, with Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi as celebrant. The Chapel will be open all day Friday and Saturday morning for those who want to pay their last respects. There will be a small reception at the new building in honor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel after the burial. At the end all she wanted was to receive Holy Communion. Her life can be summed up in the words that were printed above her bed.
