ObituaryREV. BARBARA E. JOHNSONRICHFORD, NY - Rev. Barbara E. Johnson, 66, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at home. Born on February 29, 1940 in Slaterville Springs, Barbara was the daughter of the late Herbert and Jessie (Brown) Brecht. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Rev. Robert H. Johnson, Jr.; her daughter, Bobbie Jeanene (Roger) Roulston, Waverly; her son, Robert H. (Nanette) Johnson III, Richford; her granddaughters, Sabrina and Brittany; her brothers, John Brecht and William Brecht; her sisters, Patricia Chaffin, Darlene Mack, Irene Hunter, Ardith Kolfcorn; and several relatives and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Richard and Herbert Brecht. Barbara was an ordained minister with the Association of International Gospel Assemblies, headquartered in Desoto, MO; chairman for the AIGA Women in Christ in New York State; co-pastored Richford Faith Tabernacle Church with her husband, Dr. Robert Johnson. The Johnson's held revivals in NY and other states. Barbara worked as a Lab Assistant in the Biotechnology Building at Cornell University; was a loving, caring person who was highly respected by everyone she came into contact with. Barbara received cards from students she had lovingly touched from many states.A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 18, at the Richford Faith Tabernacle Church, 1599 State Rt. 79, corner of Michigan Hill, with Rev. Carl Fox officiating. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Richford Faith Tabernacle Church, 1599 State Rt. 79, Richford, NY 13835, in loving memory of Barbara E. Johnson. Caring services are being handled by the MacPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley.
