Robert A. Brennan, Ret. Lt. Col. U.S. Army, 55, of Millersville, Md., formerly of Livingston, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philomena's Church, 386 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston, N.J., on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum, East Hanover, N.J. The family will receive their friends at QuinnHopping Funeral Home, 145 E. Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston, N.J., on Sunday, April 14, 2013, from 2 to 6 p.m. Robert was a graduate of Livingston High School. He later entered Kean University in Union, N.J., and joined the ROTC. Robert served the United States Army after graduation. During his Army service, he received many medals and awards, including the Army Commendation Medal and the Medal of Merit. Robert rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel and his last duty station was at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He retired in 2003. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Tem Brennan; his brother, William Brennan; his sisters, Kathy Turon, Lynn Ditullio, and Ellen Brennan, and his nephews, Scott Gloss, Ryan Gloss, Fr. Brian Ditullio, and Matt Ditullio. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to your local ASPCA.
