->Rene Jacques, born May 10, 1925, in Waterville to August Jacques and Armosa Giguere Jacques passed away Oct 1, 2009, at the age of 84. Rene was a graduate of Coburn Academy and retired from the railroad after 38 years. He had given much of his time to The Elks Club and their good works as well as his Catholic church community in Waterville, ME. He is survived by his sister, Annette Jacques Regan; his nieces, Maureen and Margaret Regan, Jennifer Thibodeau and Alexandra Regan Bushway, and his nephews, J. Patrick Regan, Jude Regan Johnson, Jack and Aidan Drew. He was a proud member of the Giguere family, and is survived by too many to mention here. Rene devoted his life to making others happy by telling a silly joke or through his kindness and generosity. He is remembered with a smile by all those who knew him. He will be honored with a wake at Vellieux's funeral home on 8 Elm St. in Waterville from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and his funeral service will take place on Monday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame, Silver Street, Waterville, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Elks Club of Waterville in his honor. 6936570
