Rene J. Lamontagne ENGLEWOOD, Fla. - Rene J. Lamontagne, 79, of Englewood, Fla., died on March 4, 2014, at Venice Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained from an accident. He was born on Jan. 7, 1935, in Sanford, a son of Joseph and Lena (Roy) Lamontagne. He graduated from Sanford High School's adult education program in 1983. He married his soul mate, Linda Ouellette, on June 29, 1963, and the two would enjoy a happy, loving union for over 50 years until his death. Rene worked in the Sanford mills until 1977. Then he worked for the Sanford School Department as a custodian until he retired in 1998, moving to Englewood. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Ouellette) Lamontagne, of Englewood; two sons, Maurice, of Madeira Beach, Fla., and Steven, of Franklin, Tenn.; a daughter, Diane, of Englewood; a brother, Lawrence, of Holland, Mass.; and two sisters, Rachel Caron and Rita Malenfant, both of Sanford. A memorial mass was held for Rene on March 11 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Englewood.
