Rebecca Knight Smith, age 48, of Jefferson died Monday, November 26, 2012. Rebecca loved life, her family, animals and nature. She was a member of White Plains Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Grady Lee Knight and brother -in- law, Danny Jackson. Survivors include: her husband, Sandy Smith; daughters, Doria Gantt and Pete of Jefferson, Sandi Smith and Barrera of Statham; mother, Louise Knight of Hoschton; brothers, Ronny Knight and Diane of Commerce, Melvin Knight and Debbie of Lawrenceville, John Knight and Fiona of Daytona Beach, FL; sisters, Connie Knight Beers and Terry of Loganville, Judy Adams and Mark of Toccoa, Sharon Jackson of Hoschton; grandchildren, Rayane Gantt, Carlin Smith and Khloe Barrera; 7 nieces; 8 nephews, 4 great nieces and 3 great nephews. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, November 28 at White Plains Baptist Church. Pastor Corey Pittman will be officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Tuesday, November 27 and 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Lawson Funeral Home.
