Mrs. Rebecca A. "Becky" Johnson, age 88, passed away at her home in Marietta, Ga., on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, following a brief illness.A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel in Gainesville, Ga. Her ashes will be inurned alongside her husband at Alta Vista Cemetery.Becky was the daughter of the late Rev. Walter D. Arnold and Mrs. Sarah Byrd Arnold of Athens, Ga. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Mr. George W. Johnson Jr. of McColl, S.C.; and a brother, Walter D. Arnold Jr. of Watkinsville, Ga.She is survived by her children, Mr. and Mrs. George W. "Buddy" Johnosn III of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Carol Johnson Allen and husband Phillip Allen of Marietta, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnson of Marietta, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson of Bradenton, Fla.; granddaughter, Kasey McDearis of Bradenton, Fla.; grandsons, Matt and Brad Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; Tyler and Daniel Allen of Marietta, Ga.; Connor Johnson of Marietta, Ga., and Dustin Rowland of Gainesville, Ga.; great-grandson, Whitfield "Field" Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, Mr. David Arnold of Austin, Texas.In lieu of flowers, it is requested that family and friends make contributions to their favorite charities in memory of Becky.Online condolences at www.memorialparkfuneralhomes.com.Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel, Gainesville
