CarpenterWINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Raymond E. Miller of Winter Haven died of cancer Sunday (Oct. 9, 2005) in Winter Haven. He was 81.Born in Wescoeville, Pa., on Aug. 26, 1924, he came to Winter Haven from Pennsylvania in 1989. He was a carpenter. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served as a rigger and crane operator in the Phillipines. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven.Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lillian Miller. He is survived by his son, Raymond E. Miller II, Kissimmee; daughters, Mary Ellen Waller, Orlando, and Lillian Chase, Winter Haven; sister, Mae Vincent, Trexler Town, Pa.; six grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.Memorial services will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.
