MILLER MiIler, Raymond, 96, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and formerly of Danville, IL died peacefully in his sleep, November 7, 2002. His life is a collections of happy endings because he always found the good in anything. His life was characterized by overwhelming responsibility met with a positive and problem-solving spirit. He was never held back by fear of risk or by resentment of life's curve balls. At 15 he was already supporting his mother and 5 of his 10 siblings, and later raised a family of his own, not to mention the countless people who never knew he helped them financially. Ray Miller's spirit of getting up, not giving up resulted in a thriving 53 year career as a farmer in which he revolutionized farming methods. He also had a successful feed business, made innovations in the fertilize, industry, and even had 9 of his race horses make it into the Winner's Circle. He is survived by a legacy of vision and wisdom, a compassion for others and a love for learning. He believed in family, in honesty and in people in general. He was preceded in death by his wife Elma Pauline (Unger) Miller; brothers Wilsic, Luther, Leonard, Clarence, Tony, and Freddie; sisters Ruth and Mabel. He is survived by son Raymond and his wife Kathie and their children Alison Rae, Adam, Amy, and Austin; son Bob and wife Jane and their children Beth Tong and husband David, and their daughter Katherine Pauline; Eric, and Robert Ray; daughter Paula Hoffman and her husband Ken and their children, Heidi, Trey & Paul; brother Al and sister Frances.
