WALLINGFORD - Raymond Edward Williams, 65, of Wallingford, entered God's kingdom on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. He was the loving husband of Maria (Barszcz) Williams.Raymond was born Sept. 3, 1949, in Springfield, Mass., son of Evangeline (Bennett) Tannenbaum, of Wallingford, and the late Edward Williams. Raymond had been a part of the Jaycees and served as a trustee of Zion Lutheran Church of Wallingford. He was passionate about supporting all of his children's extracurricular activites. He was a dedicated employee of Radio Frequency Systems for 40 years and participated in the company golf league. Raymond also enjoyed fishing, cultivating his bountiful garden, and spending time with family and friends.In addition to his wife and mother, he will be dearly missed by his children, Vanessa Williams, of Stamford, Derek Williams and his wife, Amanda, of Middletown, Christopher Williams, of the Bronx; his niece, Myla McDonald; and an extended loving family. He is preceded in death by his sister, Valerie Clark; step-sister, Ellen Beswick; and step-father, Otto Tannenbaum.Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, Sept. 21, at the B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 S. Elm St., Wallingford from 3 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, 235 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
