Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Raymond "Buck" Bryant, 82, Steele, who died Sunday, June 24, 2007, peacefully, with his family by his side. The Rev. Jim McCord will officiate. Burial in Steele Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge.Mr. Bryant was a native and lifelong resident of Steele, and attended Steele Baptist Church.He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred Bryant, Steele; children, the Rev. Bobby (Martha) Bryant, Attalla, Margaret (Joe) Akin, Gardendale, and Faye (Ron) Rogers, Sao Paulo, Brazil; grandchildren, Randy Bryant, Attalla, Brian Akin, Birmingham, Amanda (Rogers) Dallmann, Chicago, Ill., and Kristy Akin, Gardendale; great-grandchild, Abigail Dallmann, Chicago; sisters, Louise Morris, New Market, Ind., Nellie Ruth Baswell, Springville, and Josephine Traylor, Rainbow City; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Randy Bryant, Brian Akin, Terry McNutt, Benjamin Dallmann, Denny Wilcox and Jackie Weaver.Honorary pallbearers will be senior citizens group of Steel Baptist Church.Special thanks to Alacare Hospice and the sitters, Scarlett, Jennifer and Brandy, and to special friend, Robert Barnes, for their love and compassion.
