Ray Todd, 48, Arcadia and formerly of Venice, died Nov. 12, 2004. He was born March 19, 1956, in Venice and was a lifetime resident of DeSoto County. He was a registered nurse in the home health care industry. He was a member of the National Barrel Horse Association, District 10, Narcotics Anonymous, Sarasota Chapter, and the All Florida Saddle Club of Arcadia. He was a Protestant. Survivors include his parents, James and Amelia of Arcadia; his companion, Craig Wills of Arcadia; sisters Marie Ostrander of Rotonda West and Virginia Freeman of Englewood; and a brother, James R. Jr. of Jupiter. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Arcadia Rodeo Grounds. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a trust fund to be established at a later date.
