Ruth Colbert Johnson, 75, Daytona Beach, FL, a retired Nurse, passed away February 5, 2010 in Trenton, NJ. Mrs. Johnson was a native of Daytona Beach, FL and a member of Mt. Carmel M.B. Church of Daytona Beach, FL, an affiliate member of Wayne Ave Baptist Church, Trenton, NJ. While away from home, she sang with both Gospel Choruses. Survivors include six children: Debra Reed (Charles), Alfreda Whitfield, Daytona, Selena Whitfield, Trenton, NJ, Gregory Whitfield, Ralph Whitfield, Kenneth Stewart, Daytona; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; a special niece and nephew, Freddie Colbert (Dorothy), Ledessa Blake (Andrew), Daytona; devoted cousins, Lorraine Powers, Eddie Joe Williams, Daytona. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Butts Miracle Temple COGIC, 636 Hawks St., Daytona Beach, FL, Dr. Samuel Butts, Pastor.
