Roy A. Hamilton, 80, Edgewater, passed away on Nov. 10, 2009 at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach. Roy was born in Watts Flats, NY and moved to this area in 1970. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a heavy equipment operator in Orlando, until his retirement in 1994. Roy was a member of I.U.O.E. Local 17 in Buffalo, NY. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Fluvilla Hamilton; two daughters, Susan Sutphin (Rob), Eustis, and Vicky Kitchen (Mark), Edgewater; eight grandchildren, Shannon Stuckey (Jason), Vernessa Holcomb (Peter), Dustin Sutphin, Nicholas Sutphin (Brittany), Micaela Sutphin, Christopher Beard (Angela), Jason Beard (Carolina), and Danny Beard (Erin Ingle); five great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
