RONALD REGINALD CLARK-Friends and family of Ron are deeply saddened by his passing on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Regina. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Reginald and Verda (Drury) Clark and infant brother Robert. Left to cherish his memory is partner, Garnet Mang; wife of 31 years, Sharon Hurd; daughter, Kateri son-in-law David Corbishley and granddaughter Bernice; daughter, Kristen (Kris) Clark and granddaughters Sabrina and Rachel (Jessica); siblings, Frances (Gerald) Harnett; Edward (Lorna) Clark; Keith (Judy) Clark; nieces and nephews. Ron was born on the family farm near Ardath, Saskatchewan on June 2, 1940. Always a great student, Ron graduated from the University of Saskatchewan (B.A., B.Ed.), St. Andrew's College, Saskatoon (B.D.) and Union Theological Seminary in New York City (S.T.M.). Ron served pastoral charges of the United Church of Canada in Saskatchewan including Macklin, United Church Chaplaincy at the U. of S., Eston, Meadow Lake, St. John's (Regina), and Balgonie-McLean until his retirement in June 2005. Social justice was always forefront in Ron's ministry. Ron happily shared his love of music with his family and community. Instrumental in the launching the Meadow Lake Music Festival, Ron directed and accompanied many choirs, sang with the Regina Philharmonic and more recently recorded Watershed Stories with the Prairie Pride Chorus. A bridge fanatic, Ron could often be found making stink bids at tournaments. Ron also loved sports all year round and served as President of the Southeast Zone of the Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association. We will remember him because he gave a lot to his community, was passionate about justice, and cared for his family, friends and congregations. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 4PM, Wesley United Church 3913 Hillsdale Street, Regina. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Andrew's College, 1121 College Drive, Saskatoon, S7N 0W3.
