Robert W. Johnson, 81, Venice, died May 26, 2002. He was born June 28, 1920, in Port Allegany, Pa., and came to Venice in 1982 from Philadelphia. He was a salesman for 25 years at Strawbridge and Clothier in Philadelphia and a member of the Lions Club in Sellersville, Pa. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 234, Sauderton, Pa. He received a business administration degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virginia; a son, Robert W. Jr. of Louisville, Ky.; and a sister, Carol Saenger of Long Island, N.Y. National Cremation Society, Venice chapter, is in charge.
