DAVIS, REV. EWELL PAUL Rev. Ewell Paul Davis, age 57, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011. Brother Paul was a 1972 graduate of Tarrant High School and then obtained his undergraduate degree from Livingston University. He received his masters degree from the University of Montevallo and received his masters of divinity from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He most recently pastored Schultz Creek Baptist Church in Centerville, Alabama. He was also employed as a bus driver at Greenwood Elementary School. He has pastored Eastern Valley Baptist Church, Alexandria Baptist Church, Centralhatchee Baptist Church in Georgia and Calvary Baptist Church in Wedowee. Brother Paul also taught history and coached at Fort Payne High School, Jess Lanier High School, Parrish High School and Oxford High School. He is preceded in death by his brother, Carl "Chris" Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamella Moorer Davis; sons, Kyle Moorer Davis (Amy West) and Kaleb Paul Davis (Bethany Gaydosh); daughter, Anna Kathryn Davis; grandchildren, McKenzie Claire and Gage Bradley Davis; parents, Dr. C.P. and Margaret Davis; mother-in-law, Louise Holston Moorer; sisters, Jane Hooten, Betty Fox, Phyllis Bice, and Susan Jeffreys; brothers, Jimmy, Timothy and David Davis; Funeral services will be on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Eastern Valley Baptist Church with burial to follow in Schultz Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Eastern Valley Baptist Church in Bessemer. Gary Brown, Joe Oglesby, Wes Wade, Frank Rudowski, Doyce Freeman and Robby Preston will serve as pallbearers and the deacons at Schultz Creek Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Schultz Creek Baptist Church, P.O.
