SMITH Phyllis Clarke. Phyllis' feisty spirit and considerable artistic talents have been well replicated in the identities of her children, Randy, tragically deceased in September of 2001, and Marion, thankfully very much with us and unequivocally representing the values which were so much a part of Phyllis' elegant character: commitments to family, to tradition, and to quirky expressions of humour. Phyllis passed away on May 9, at the age of 89, at the Priory, in the loving presence of her immediate family, Marion Whyte-Smith (Jim, Conor, and Jordan Whyte) and Janey Smith (Meaghan and Ryan (Kim)). A memorial service will be held at St Luke's Anglican Church, 3821 Cedar Hill X Road, 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 22. In our times of reflection on the quality of Phyllis' life, the spirits of Randy, Newton, Ruth, and Madge will be ever present. A reception will follow at 3869 Branson, Metchosin. The family requests that any donations made in remembrance of Phyllis be directed to the ALS Society.
