Phyllis Mae Bell, 78 GORHAM - Phyllis Mae Bell, 78, of Fort Hill Road passed away Monday, August 1, 2005 at Gorham House Nursing Home.She was born in Bridgton on Aug. 15, 1926 to Fred and Nellie Batchelder Linscott, one of six children. Phyllis attended and graduated from Bridgton High School.Phyllis worked for Sebago Moc of Westbrook and also Data General of Westbrook. Phyllis married E. Owen Bell of Fryeburg on Nov. 26, 1947 in Bridgton.She enjoyed gardening, sewing and doing for others. She made and decorated cakes for three sisters' 25th wedding anniversaries, with one cake being transported from Gorham to Vergennes, Vt.Phyllis attended many agricultural fairs with her husband, especially Fryeburg Fair which they never missed. She and her husband along with other members of their family worked in the pulling ring for many years.Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, E. Owen Bell; her parents of Bridgton; and two brothers, Frederick and Ralph, both of Bridgton.Phyllis leaves behind two daughters, Loma L. Bell of Gorham, and Mrs. Peter (Marlene) James of Windham; two granddaughters, Mrs. William (Crystal) Johnson of Standish, and Mrs. Shawn (Bobbi Jo) Kennie of Limington; a great-granddaughter, Taylor M. Johnson of Standish; and a step-great-granddaughter, Chelsea Kennie of Standish. Phyllis also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Marion Littlefield of Pittston, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Bell of Vergennes, Vt., and Mrs. John (Marlene) Webb of Casco.The family wishes to send heartfelt thanks to all the members of Gorham House who took care of our mom.
