A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Village Chapel for Phyllis Joan Johnson, 67, of Gadsden, who died March 12, 2013. The Rev. Phillip Robertson will officiate.Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Elrod; father, James Adkins; sister, Doris Wheeler; mother-in-law, Alma Peppers; aunt and uncle, Buddy and Sue Peppers; and great-granddaughter, Emma Grace.She is survived by her husband, Lee Johnson; daughters, Carolyn Goslin, Karen Johnson, Britney Johnson, Cindy Johnson and Brenda Looney; sons, Charles "Chuck" Williams and Ricky (Laurie) Johnson; granddaughters, Jennifer (Chris) Robinson, Haley Perkins, Caitlin, Kacy and Crisy Johnson, and Doris; chosen granddaughter, Jessi Franklin; grandsons, Dustin (Erin) Moon, Jeremy Moon, Cory (Kristen) Perkins and David Williams; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Alayna, Raylin, Dawson and Caden; special grandson, Pookie Lee Johnson; sisters, Sallie Farris and Viva Olson; and aunt, Jenny Johnson.
