TUSCALOOSA Peyton Lee Jordan, age 62, of Tuscaloosa, died Nov. 16, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Memory Hills Gardens with Dr. Charles Durham officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.Survivors include his wife, Christy Chancy Jordan; his sons, Michael Lee Jordan and Terry Mark Jordan (Leanne); his sister, Patricia Jordan Kizziah; his brother, Johnny Jordan; and three grandchildren.Lee Jordan was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. He graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1967 and was a proud Black Bear. He married his sweetheart, Christine Chancy. He later enlisted in the Army Reserve. He returned home and shortly afterwards joined the Tuscaloosa Fire Department where he proudly served and later retired. Lee enjoyed football, grandkids, and playing cards, but loved his wife the most. Honorary pallbearers are Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Services, nurses and staff of DCH MICU 1st and 3rd floor, nurses and staff of DCH 6th floor Dr. McDermott, Dr. Gross, Elks Lodge #393, Jerry and Linda Wilson, Mickey Holly, AMVETS of Tuscaloosa, Tony and Judy Colburn, Teresa Colburn Adams, and Pam Sanford.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Children's Ministry of First Presbyterian Church.Condolences may be offered at www.memorychapelfuneralhome.com.
