PETER FRIESEN Peter Friesen was born in Aberdeen, SK in 1932 and he passed on to glory very peacefully on June 5, 2011. He was raised on a farm and there learned the value of hard work and a job well done. This carried on into his adult life as an expert cement finisher/ construction worker. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing in his younger days. He suffered many years with lung disease which caused his death. He learned to love the Lord in the last few years and was longing to "Go Home" to be with Him. He is lovingly survived by his wife Justina of 50 years; children, Sheila Friesen, Della (Fred) Ginther, Robin Friesen, Treena (Pat) Mahar; grandchildren, Cindy, Justin, Mandy Reddekopp; Matthew, Jordan Ginther; Kalin, Brandon Mahar; great grandchildren, Angelina, Taylor Reddekopp; also his sisters Mary, Anne, Gertrude; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Hughie, parents Anna and John Friesen; brothers John, Jake, Henry, Abe, Dave and Neil Friesen. Funeral service will be held at the Warman Gospel Church at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Burial will take place in the Warman cemetery.
