DOWNING, Peter Douglas August 16, 1954 - November 19, 2010 Peter was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, a farming community, to wonderful parents Winona and Lloyd Downing. He had the privilege of being the youngest family member and was dearly loved by his brother, Bob and sisters Valerie and Mary Lou. As a youngster he enjoyed roaming the farm, playing in his tree house and rafting in the flooded yard. Peter played hockey, hiked, cross country skied, had his own band and spent a summer as a Junior Forest Ranger. He also enjoyed traveling and spent a year in Europe when he first married. Peter worked for years and was sought after for his dedicated talent in the printing business. He was a gifted photographer, artistic, generous and sincere. He loved God's beauty in the outdoors. Music was another of Peter's passions. His faith was important to him. He loved all his family dearly. Peter was humble and never appreciated how special he was to each family member, friend and everyone he met. Peter was a hero in our eyes as he valiantly struggled with Schizophrenia for many years. Peter is survived by his wife Marge, twin daughters Sarah and Michelle, brother Bob (Mary), sister Val (John), Aunt Iris and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. We will sorely miss you Peter, but you are now at peace in heaven with Mom, Dad and Mary Lou. You are engraved on our hearts forever.
