Peggy was born on January 13, 1942 in Bessemer, Alabama to John D. and Mary L. Killough. She graduated from Hueytown High School in 1960. After graduation she worked in the family owned fence construction business. She served as an employee of the Jefferson County Board of Education for 20 years. She leaves her son Jonathan Wayne Sims, brother Charles Douglas Killough, step children Rusty Sims and Teresa Sims, daughter-in-law Robyn Sims, sister-in-law Beverly Killough, cousins Terry and Helen Killough, John and Beverly Killough, Mildred Killough Early and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. The visitation will be Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday May 13, 2014, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Earnest Methodist Church Cemetery in Concord, Alabama.
