ADAMS, PEGGY ANN, 72, of Westport, CT, wife of Jack L. Adams, passed away Monday, July 23, 2007 in Norwalk Hospital, Norwalk, Connecticut. Peggy was born August 4, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late David and Naoma (Carter) O'Brien and has been a resident of Westport for the past 43 years. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville where she received both her undergraduate and masters degrees. Peggy demonstrated exceptional talent at an early age; at the age of four she was singing frequently on the radio and at seven and eight was considered a prodigy in voice. At ten and eleven she was giving recitals in operatic selections in French and Italian and at the age of fourteen attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Peggy won a beauty contest at the age of sixteen in Louisville, Kentucky. She was also a great lover and supporter of all animals. Survivors, in addition to her husband of 45 years, include two sons, John L. Adams of Vernon, CT, and William L. Adams of Montpelier, VT; one brother, David O'Brien, MD of Atlanta, GA; one grandson, Christopher L. Adams and several nieces and nephews. Services and interment were private. The Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions in Peggy's name may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street, N.W., P.O.
